Meet your director
Flat Frog Films is run by James Russell, a self-taught filmmaker with a lifelong passion for storytelling. Rather than learning in a classroom, James learned by doing — buying a camera and spending two years travelling the country making his first documentary and refining his craft in the real world.
That debut film went on to be translated into seven languages and win international awards a defining moment that shaped his belief in the power of film.
Since then, James has produced content for broadcasters including the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and directed films for global brands such as FIFA, McLaren, Epson, Tesco and Costa Coffee.
